Bao Lan Hao is a brand rooted in the spirit of Minnan oolong tea. From our family tea garden in Xiping, Anxi, Fujian, we craft oolong teas that reflect the land, the cultivars, and the time-honored traditions of southern Fujian.

Our Origin: Xiping Tea Homeland

Xiping is one of the most important tea regions in Anxi and a place deeply connected to the history of Minnan oolong. It is here that Bao Lan Hao begins. Our teas come from our own family garden, where generations have lived with tea not simply as a crop or a trade, but as a way of life.

This long relationship with the land shapes how we understand tea: not as a product to be rushed, but as something cultivated with patience, observation, and respect.

Authentic Minnan Oolong Heritage

Bao Lan Hao was founded with a clear intention—to return to origin and to present a more authentic expression of Minnan oolong. Rather than building a broad tea brand with many unrelated categories, we focus on the teas that truly belong to our place: the oolong traditions of southern Fujian.

Within this world, different cultivars reveal different personalities. Tieguanyin offers elegance, lift, and depth; Benshan expresses its own balance of floral character, structure, and roast. Together, they form a fuller picture of the tea culture we come from.

Our work is guided by three values: origin, craftsmanship, and time. Origin matters because tea should carry the character of the place where it is grown. Craftsmanship matters because every stage—from leaf selection to roasting—shapes the final expression in the cup. Time matters because good oolong is not only made; it is also refined through patience, rest, and maturity.
