Origin of the Brand

Our story begins in the birthplace of Minnan oolong tea. The founder hails from a generations-old Tieguanyin tea-making family in Anxi, Fujian. As the ninth-generation inheritor, she nurtured a deep passion for tea from an early age, which led to the founding of Bao Lan Hao.

Driven by a dream to showcase the value of teas from her hometown and carry forward the local culture, we set out on this journey.

Embrace the Local Terroir

We wandered across every tea mountain in Anxi, held the pure earth in our hands, felt the texture of tea leaves, breathed in the natural tea aroma, and savored aged tea. Only then did we truly understand the local way of life.

It embodies the vicissitudes of century-old tea trees, unique geographical terroir, profound human sentiments, and above all, the sincere and gentle attitude that people in Anxi hold toward tea.

Master Tea Maker

For the development and quality control of oolong teas, we believe local Anxi natives are best suited to oversee production.

We are fortunate to have invited the founder’s fourth uncle, a master craftsman with sixty years of tea-making experience. Warm, hospitable and lively, he has built an intimate bond with tea over decades.

Youth Meets Tradition

We believe that connecting youthful vision with time-honored tea, and letting flavors slowly unfold over time, will bring forth teas with vibrant character and lingering charm.
