Wang Lan, founder of Baolanhao, was born in Yaoshan Village, Xiping Town, the birthplace of Tieguanyin. Her family has carried on tea planting, processing and trading for nine generations. Witnessing hometown land overexploited and then abandoned, her deep affection for Tieguanyin drove her to return and patrol the mountains. Though the journey is long, homeland always brings comfort, and every step forward brings genuine delight.

Scattered tea lands owned by family and local villagers are managed collectively. We abandon chemical fertilizers and pesticides, adopt manual weeding and minimize disturbance to tea plants.

Traditional craftsmanship is restored based on vintage tea samples. Seasonal tea production resumes, reviving the authentic tea making standard of the 1980s and 1990s.

Baolanhao has distributed thousands of tasting tea gifts for two consecutive years. Fresh Mountain Rain traditional charcoal-roasted Tieguanyin finished final roasting in 2019. It settled and matured through 2020, then shared with connoisseurs in 2021 for quality verification. Further tasting in 2022 tests its quality, evolution and endurance against time.
